ROAD GRILL

ROAD GRILL starring MATT DUNIGAN, the latest Knight Enterprises production for Food Network Canada, will premiere May 19th at 2 pm(EST). Episodes will air on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s at 2pm and 7pm (EST) throughout the summer.

In each episode, Matt and his Team set up their giant barbecue road show at a new location and event, bringing love, laughs and great food to people enjoying summertime outdoors. Shot before a live enthusiastic (and hungry!) audience, Matt show us the simple secrets and techniques of great barbecue. Whether perfect char marks on a steak or tips for a juicy burger, Matt's enthusiasm, approachability, and barbecue know-how makes cooking in the great outdoors a synch.
Each episode features the two ROADGRILL barbecue techniques: hi & fast grilling over direct heat with the lid up OR low & slow smoking using indirect heat with the lid down. There's at least 3 barbecue recipes and one side dish whipped up in each episode. The show features rubs, marinades, sauces, salsas and chutneys along with tips and techniques on how to prepare great barbecue.

But one man cannot grill for all those hungry people in the audience. Say hello to the ROADGRILL BARBECUE TEAM featuring Karrie Galvin, Jenna Durling, and Charlotte Langley three amazing chefs who help Matt go do that voodoo that they do so well. Everyone eats as each episode ends in a big barbecue party.
Each episode sees the ROADGRILL team set up at a different outdoor event including a soccer tournament, a skydiving jamboree, a charity 5k & 10k run and a country fair.

ROADGRILL RECIPES, including Buffalo Burgers with Oka Cheese, Lemon Drop Apple Wood Smoked Chicken Wings, and Habanero Mango Grilled Shrimp, are featured in the new ROADGRILL COOKBOOK available in May at all major bookstores and online at www.knight-tv.com.

Matt Dunigan is a CFL football legend (2 time Grey Cup champion), TSN co-anchor for all 2008 CFL games, and an avid barbecuer. Born in Ohio and raised in Dallas Matt grew up in serious barbecue country.
